      4. Description of the procurement:
         

         The contract includes detailed design, production, delivery and assembly of museum display cases for the Collection Exhibition at the new National Museum. The Collection Exhibition will be the largest individual exhibition ever assembled in Norway, and perhaps in the Nordic countries. The area of the exhibition is 10,600 m2 and it will contain art, architecture and design from 3,500 years.

         The display case contract for the Collection Exhibition includes approx. 280 – 320 display cases divided between 50-80 types or variations The display cases vary in size from 80 x 50 x 200 (h.) cm to 640 x 300 x 360 (h.) cm. Several of the display cases will be unique and require particular technical, functional or design solutions which shall be developed in dialogues with the National Museum of Norway and its joint venture partners. Broad knowledge of development and production of display cases, the ability to provide solutions with high functional qualities and aesthetics, as well as have the capacity to deliver and assemble in accordance tight progress schedules will be required.
