        The Norwegian Public Roads Administration henceforth referred to as the contracting authority, wants to enter into framework agreements with 3-5 providers of data storage and back up services.

        For the data storage part of the service, the contracting authority mainly implemented expansion investments in the period 2014-2017. Further investments will to a large extend include upgrading of current capacities. However, investments for new storage systems may also be relevant. Option for simple migration of the existing data will be emphasised in connection with the replacement of current systems.

        For backups, the contracting authority has used tape but wants to change to disk-based data storage. The contracting authority will also consider cloud-based systems when possible.
