         An access tunnel shall be designed into the seed vault on Svalbard. Depending on the chosen system in the concept phase, an approx. 100 m waterproof tunnel shall be designed, partly through uncompacted matter and partly through rock. The tunnel shall then be connected to the existing seed vault.

         Resources have currently been granted until the design is complete in December 2017.

         Execution and follow-up in the construction and warranty phase, depends on our Contracting Authority deciding to go ahead, and that funds are allocated. For this reason, execution of the last named phases shall be options for The Directorate of Public Construction and Property.
