Gjøvik Boligstiftelse (GBS) was established on 1.1.2003 with the intention of obtaining and managing housing for housing applicants in Gjøvik municipality, who, due to various reasons, require assistance with getting housing.
GBS´purpose is to obtain and manage housing for housing applicants, who, for various reasons, require assistance with getting housing. The foundation´s purpose is of a non-economic nature.
The Contracting Authority has engaged the Procurement Unit for the municipalities in the Gjøvik region for this competition.
Gjøvik municipality
The number of housing units in the foundation has been increasing and GBS had a total of 1071 housing units per 31.12.2017. Out of these, Sykehuset Innlandet HF uses 109 units. GBS has an annual turnover of approx. 90 000 000 NOK, in accordance with the budget for 2018. The housing is owned and managed by GBS and is granted to Gjøvik municipality and Sykehuset Innlandet HF.
The management tasks are currently carried out by Gjøvik og Omegn Boligbyggerlag (GOBB). The General Manager Contract will also include a tenant contract and daily management of GBS, which will expire 31.12.2018.
The board has decided, in this context, to strengthen its own organisation by establishing a separate position of daily manager and a housing manager function. GBS has, in addition, a separate operations department with an operations manager and the equivalent of 7.5 full-time employed caretakers. Cleaning services are carried out in accordance with the signed contract with Gjøvik municipality.
The assignment or procurement is for a new general manager contract for Gjøvik Boligstiftelse for the period 1.1.2019 — 31.12.2020, with the Contracting Authority having a unilateral option for 1 year + 1 year.
